FUTURE STAR

With all eyes on Las Vegas this weekend many might have missed a great British performance in Spain. 18 year old Stephanie Twell made history by becoming the first girl to retain the European Cross Country Title. And she won it by a considerable margin too.

Apparently Steph has already made the qualifying standard for the 1500m at Beijing next summer, but her sights are more firmly fixed on London 2012.

Many things can get in the way of a young athlete's dreams, but fingers crossed that with the right support Steph can attain her full potential and bring back some really big medals.
