Newbury Volleyball Club

We are a friendly multinational volleyball club, based in Newbury, West Berkshire; the first club in the country to be Volley 2 accredited by Volleyball England. We play on Tuesday evenings from about 8.00 at Trinity School and welcome players of all standards from beginner to National League players.

On Tuesdays, we have training sessions for all players, with separate groups for beginners, improvers and more advanced players, with a range of drills, coaching and practice games.

We also run a successful junior section, supported by an Awards for All grant and a Local Network grant. Juniors meet from 7.15-8.30 on Tuesdays, and from 7.00-9.00 on Fridays (see dates opposite). We have a number of qualified and CRB checked coaches to help with the junior section.

For the 2007-8 season, we have ladies', men's and mixed team in the Berkshire League. We will also enter a junior team in the BVA development league

Team practices are on Thursday evenings at Trinity School starting at 7.30. Home matches this season will be played at St Gabriel's School, Newbury.

In the summer, we play outdoors in Victoria Park in Newbury on Sunday evenings as well as entering various outdoor tournaments.

Our membership has a range of abilities from beginners to former current national league players, and represents a wide variety of nationalities.

We welcome new members; male or female, beginner or experienced. If you are interested in joining our club, or trying out volleyball, please contact us, or come along on a Tuesday evening.
