Rice Pudding

Hello Voyageurs

Great day on Sunday 10th of June, 07 with 5 of us descending the grade 2/3 stretch of the Tweed from Rutherford Lodge to Kelso junction during a very hot and humid day when it was a relief to roll a few times just to keep cool although Davids' advice to roll 15 times every trip left me feeling a bit dizzy.
Lots of wildlife with a beautiful snowy white barn owl appearing from the high cliffs at Rutherford Lodge right at the start and lazily gliding above us.

This stretch is quite a skoosh in January/Februarywhen you have to hang on tight and trust in your faith in God but today it was tight and technical with plenty opportunities to broach on the grade 3s.

You could pay a lot of money to employ a coach to work on your Neuro - linguistic programming, intrinsic kinisphere and Reticular Activating System but instead the Club did it for nought and worked on changing how you perceive things, feel and what you noticed or should be noticing. Yes I am cynical.

A great day enjoyed in marvellous company where everyone supported each other. I can't wait for Autumn to come and we can hit some grade 3s and 4s.

At the end of the trip I received some expert advice from Rosemary on how to cook rice pudding which is my favourite. Apparentley I misunderstood. Anyway it tasted great despite cooking it in a pot with neat carnation milk and then cooking it again in the oven. My wife and I are now having a divorce but I have custody of the rice pudding.

If you fancy taking part in any of these trips contact BBNLL@sea49.wanadoo.co.uk. The club covers Northumberland and the Scottish Borders and is only a fiver to join.
