WORLD ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007
WOC '07 starts next Saturday (18th Aug) in the Ukraine, all the details can be found at www.woc2007.org.ua
There are three different disciplines; sprint, middle and classic (long), with competition expected to be tight across the board. In 2006 WOC was held in Denmark, and it was the first time that I managed to follow most of the competition on the internet. I'm not sure at this stage if it will be the same this year, but I expect there to be live video feeds from the areas, including GPS tracking in real time of the runners on their courses shown as coloured dots on a map of the area..
I'd encourage people to try and watch the coverage if you can, you might find that orienteering is more exciting than you imagined, and I'll post regular updates on mysportstream anyway.
