Rugby World Cup Today

Apologies to any Aussies reading this, but, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

What an incredible game of rugby that was. The England pack won it, Jonny nearly lost it with his missed kicks. Mortlock could have won it with a penalty out wide near the end. Would he have done better to have kicked for the corner, and worked it back for a drop-kick from much closer to the posts?

The Aussie backs were more incisive, but England held them at bay most of the game. George Smith so ineffectual that he was substituted, first time ever? Quote of the day; "the England steamroller had the Aussies on toast"!

Not free flowing rugby, but so exciting. Bodies battered and covered in blood from start to finish. Huge men in tears at the end, both of joy and despair. I was out of my seat so many times infront of the TV. I'd have had a heart attack if I'd actually been in the ground at Marseilles.

Roll on France v New Zealand this evening, that could be even more exciting. Will the All Blacks choke again? Cue a Kiwi response!
