| Comments: | Ha ha, yes the Travelodge closed the year before we got there, lucky for us eh! Basically we had to get back to our high camp at 17,000' or spend a very nasty night out. We had survival bags with us, limited extra clothing, some warm drinks and food left, and we probably wouldn't have died, but it would have been extremely uncomfortable. People have survived out at higher altitudes, but I do like all my fingers and toes. The only rule was "get back to camp safely, and the first one back puts the kettle on"! And where exactly do you go at 20,000' in the middle of the Himalayas. I'm presuming the bed and breakfast accommodation is a little thin on the ground
