What's your greatest sporting achievement?

I started working out with a personal trainer at my local gym in October 2007. I began with 19.1% body fat and the ability to do 13 pathetic push ups. At my last assessment - nine months after I began - I found that I'm down to 12% body fat and I did 42 push ups.

A couple of weeks before that - after one of my training sessions - I played in two football games back to back. I'm 42 years old; none of the other players were older than 16! I'm quite pleased that I managed to keep up with them, even if I did fall asleep at 8:30pm on a Saturday.

What's your greatest sporting ambition (real and imaginary)?

Being caught and bowled first ball by a Scotsman who had never played cricket before. To make my humiliation worse, he couldn't stop apologising to me.

Favourite sporting film moment(s)?

Michael Thomas spinning on his head in "Fever Pitch".

Best Book about Sport?

Fever Pitch

What music/band do you listen to when you are training/doing mind numbing workout stuff?

Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, AC/DC

Which sports career would you most like to have?

I don't want the career, but I'd love to be as fit as these guys: www.nike.com/canada/niketraining/

Which moment in your sporting life was better than sex?

Scoring an absolute screamer of a goal - from three yards out.
